        Our department was blossomed in the year 2002 to contribute in the fascinating and emerging area of biological science.  Our objective of our department is to provide quality academic resources and conduct research in the interdisciplinary areas of Biotechnology.  Major trust areas of our department includes Bio-chemical engineering, plant biotechnology, computational biotechnology, infectious disease and proteomics.

        Our department has initiated efforts to establish advanced research laboratories in all thrust apart from fundamental research.  Our department aims to meet the targeted demands to cater the requirements of biotechnology based industries.
